Antonio Galloni Vinous 88-90/100The 2023 de Camensac is a wine of restraint. Crushed flowers, mint, spice, dried herbs and red berry fruit are some of the notes that grace this mid-weight Haut-Médoc. Pretty floral overtones lift the finish nicely.
James Suckling 92-93/100
This offers fresh and vibrant fruit with hints of crushed stones and flowers. It’s medium-bodied with velvety tannins and a firm, bright finish.
Neal Martin Vinous 877-89/100
The 2023 Château de Camensac has an old-school Bordeaux nose, but in a good way: tobacco-tinged black fruit, a touch of blackcurrant and freshly-tilled earth. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins. It’s notably solid, and there is a bit of rigidity toward the finish. Like some of its peers, it just cuts away too swiftly.
