Antonio Galloni Vinous 86-88/100The 2023 Haut-Brisson is quite floral and vibrant at the outset. Crushed flowers, cherry, blood orange, white pepper, mint and citrus peel add brightness. This Haut-Brisson is a bit of a mystery at this stage, as two samples revealed vegetal notes and angular contours. Tasted three times.
James Suckling 95-96/100
Another very focused 2023 St.-Emilion with berry, chocolate and earth notes. It’s medium- to full-bodied with a solid core of fruit and a bright, vivid and very long finish. Well-integrated tannins. This is one to watch. 95% merlot and 5% cabernet franc. Better than 2022.
