James Suckling 93-94/100Juicy and creamy in texture with blackberry and light, smoky oak. Medium body, fine velvety tannins and a crunchy finish. 73% merlot and 27% cabernet franc.
Neal Martin Vinous 90-92/100
The 2023 La Serre was picked September 13 to October 4. This has a lovely, sensual nose with raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and just a hint of vanilla. It’s always one of J-P Moueix's more seductive entry-level wines. The palate is medium-bodied with plush tannins, fine acidity, a velvety mouthfeel and a vivid, red cherry and black pepper finish. Very promising.
Antonio Galloni Vinous 90-92/100
The 2023 La Serre is a bold, punchy wine with good intensity and a bit more depth than most vintages. Super-ripe red cherry, plum, blood orange and a kiss of French oak lend exuberance. The 2023 needs time to come together, and especially to integrate its oak, but it is nicely done. Tasted two times.
