Decanter 90Jane Anson "A paintbrush of inky colours, and this is a good vintage for Citran, with mocha, liquorice and fresh mint character, along with damson fruits, and Left Bank signature. The tannins have the vintage fingerprint, and close in sharply on the close of play, but it will soften with ageing; and this is charming."

A firm and savory red with blackcurrants, volcanic salt and hints of bark. Medium body. Fresh finish.

Neal Martin "Despite rigorous swirling, the 2022 Citran has a decent nose that never delivers that "wow" factor. Maybe that is to come? The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, slightly granular in texture, gently building toward a slightly savory finish. Not bad at all, and I raised my banded score as a second bottle tasted three weeks later displayed a little more tension on the finish. I have faith in this Citran."
