Wine Spectator

Jeb Dunnuck 91-93 - The 2022 Château Prieuré-Lichine offers a pure, vibrant bouquet of red and blue fruits as well as plenty of cedarwood, tobacco, and a hint of iron. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, with nicely integrated tannins as well as outstanding overall balance, this well-made, impeccably balanced Margaux will drink nicely with just short-term cellaring. It's easily in the same ballpark quality-wise as the 2018, 2019, and 2020, all of which are beautiful wines. Tasted twice.

Decanter

Jane Anson 93 - Inky plum depths to the colours here are vivid and inviting, and on the palate you get plenty of character and spice. Things are high volume and intense, with ripe blackberry and loganberry fruit, autumnal but still with plenty of juice and texture. Good quality. 32hl/h yield.

James Suckling 95-96

Such beautiful tannins here that are refined and beautiful and bring you deep into the medium to full body. Currants and berries. Refined.

Wine Advocate 91-93

Offering up generous amounts of sweet berries, orange rind and licorice, the 2022 Prieuré-Lichine is medium to full-bodied, rich and layered, with a lively core of fruit that's framed by powdery tannins that assert themselves on the youthfully firm finish. This heavily morcellated estate (amounting to some 125 different parcels) continues to benefit from a more rigorous selection and better attention to detail regarding harvest dates.

Vinous

Neal Martin 90-92 - The 2022 Prieuré-Lichine has a lively nose with blackberry, raspberry and violet scents that unfurl in the glass. Slightly high-toned and showy. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, powdery in texture, graphite-infused black fruit with a classically-styled finish. Perhaps it needs just a little more length on the aftertaste, but this should still provide a couple of decade's drinking pleasure. Antonio Galloni 91-93 - The 2022 Prieuré-Lichine is classy and polished, with lovely aromatic brightness to match its silky, mid-weight personality. Crushed flowers, mint, blood orange and spice are nicely delineated. There's good up-front richness, but then a bit less intensity through the mid-palate and finish. Tasted two times.
